The author appeared on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press,’ CNN and C-SPAN. Sales of his book, ‘Rising Tide: The Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 and How It Changed America,’ climbed.
So have sales of other books on the city as well as CDs by Big Easy musicians such as Aaron Neville and Harry Connick Jr. At Borders Group Inc., the second-largest U.S. bookstore chain, travel guides for New Orleans – which few people are planning to visit for pleasure anytime soon – almost outsold those for New York City.”
